Scholars from around the world are headed to Brock University as Canada\u2019s largest business and management conference is set to be held on campus this weekend.<\/p>\n
Hosted by Brock\u2019s Goodman School of Business, the annual Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (ASAC) conference will welcome more than 400 academics to the University from Friday, May 24 to Monday, May 27.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are excited to welcome our colleagues from across Canada and internationally to Goodman,\u201d said Dean Andrew Gaudes. \u201cConferences like ASAC play an important role in fostering the strong research and innovation culture Canada is developing in this field.\u201d<\/p>\n
The conference has 20 divisions focusing discussion across traditional business disciplines as well as areas such as social responsibility, tourism and sport management.<\/p>\n
Goodman Associate Professor of Marketing Eric Dolansky is the University liaison for the conference and says the theme of this year\u2019s gathering is \u201cHarvest.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe theme was chosen because of the event\u2019s location in Niagara and the importance of agribusiness in Canada, but also because the word harvest can be used in in different contexts,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
