With a May 31 deadline approaching, students are being reminded to log on and share feedback about their Brock experience in the annual survey that will inform the next Maclean\u2019s University Rankings.<\/p>\n
Each Fall for the past 29 years, the national newsmagazine Maclean\u2019s<\/em> has been publishing its familiar report which compares Canadian universities on numerous factors \u2014 including student satisfaction. (Other factors include research productivity; institutional reputation; faculty and student awards; and institutional resourcing for the library, student services, and student scholarships and bursaries.)<\/p>\n Questions on the student survey focus on quality of academic experience and also student support services. Students can also comment on their level of co-curricular involvement, and their knowledge of relevant and important topical issues such as the level of support afforded to Indigenous awareness, and human rights and equity.<\/p>\n Responses are confidential, are collected directly by\u00a0Maclean\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0and are never seen by the University.\u00a0MacLean\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0does not publish or share any email addresses to a survey response.<\/p>\n Anna Lathrop, Vice Provost, Teaching, Learning, and Student Success, said Brock encourages all students to participate, including those in Spring and Summer classes.<\/p>\n \u201cThe survey is important,\u201d said Lathrop. \u201cMaclean\u2019s<\/em> reaches a wide national audience of prospective students and parents who read the report. The rankings issue is an indicator of what Brock is doing well and where we can improve.\u201d<\/p>\n Lathrop said survey questions align directly with Brock\u2019s Institutional Strategic Plan, which lists a \u201ctransformational and accessible university experience\u201d as an institutional priority.<\/p>\n As a gesture of appreciation for students\u2019 time, participating Brock students can enter to win one of five Apple watches or one of 10 $100 gift cards for the Campus Store.<\/p>\n To participate, please follow these simple steps by Friday, May 31:<\/p>\n\n
