More than 30 people took part in a first-ever yoga session held among the cherry blossom trees\u00a0at the base of Schmon Tower at lunchtime on Monday, May 6. Japan\u00a0gave the trees to Brock in 2003<\/a>\u00a0as a gesture of friendship between that country and Canada. When they briefly blossom each year, they\u2019re Brock’s most-photographed natural element on campus.<\/p>\n

Monday’s yoga session was a collaboration between Brock Recreation and the University’s\u00a0Health Management and Wellness team, which has a full schedule of free lunchtime activities planned this week for Mental Health Week.<\/p>\n

Members of the Brock community are encouraged to continue participating in classes on campus over the summer months. This is made easy with the new Fitness Class Membership<\/a> that includes yoga, Zumba and more from now until the end of August.
