{"id":56740,"date":"2019-03-13T14:55:13","date_gmt":"2019-03-13T18:55:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=56740"},"modified":"2019-03-13T14:59:26","modified_gmt":"2019-03-13T18:59:26","slug":"talk-to-focus-on-impact-of-perceived-terrorism-threats-in-the-workplace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2019\/03\/talk-to-focus-on-impact-of-perceived-terrorism-threats-in-the-workplace\/","title":{"rendered":"Talk to focus on impact of perceived terrorism threats in the workplace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fear of terrorism can affect employees\u2019 well-being, ethical decision making, stress levels and job performance.<\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/faculty-research\/luncheon-speaker-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goodman Luncheon Speaker Series<\/a> will look at how the threat of terrorism in society can impact employees and the workplace.<\/p>\n<p>Usman Raja, Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources at the Goodman School of Business, will present his work \u201cPerceived threat of terrorism and employee outcomes: The moderating role of negative affectivity and psychological capital\u201d on Friday, March 15.<\/p>\n<p>The talk will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Goodman School of Business Room 205.<\/p>\n<p>Raja is the recipient of the 2018 <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/faculty-research\/featured-research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goodman Distinguished Scholar of the Year Award<\/a>, based on his recent scholarly contributions.<\/p>\n<p>The Goodman speaker series provides an informal opportunity to listen to and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with international business colleagues.
