{"id":56573,"date":"2019-03-06T09:15:22","date_gmt":"2019-03-06T14:15:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=56573"},"modified":"2019-03-06T15:43:39","modified_gmt":"2019-03-06T20:43:39","slug":"applying-disney-principles-in-the-classroom-at-centre-of-goodman-talk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2019\/03\/applying-disney-principles-in-the-classroom-at-centre-of-goodman-talk\/","title":{"rendered":"Applying Disney principles in the classroom at centre of Goodman talk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An American instructor will be on campus Friday to discuss how Disney customer service principles can help create an engaging classroom that students want to come back to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At this week\u2019s<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/faculty-research\/luncheon-speaker-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Goodman Luncheon Speaker Series<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Russell Clayton, an instructor at Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida, will share his experiences of using Disney practices to enhance his classroom teaching.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During his talk \u201cTeach like the Mouse: Applying Disney best practices to improve our college classrooms,\u201d the<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0self-described Disney enthusiast will share how the Walt Disney Company, as a customer service champion, excels as an organization and how faculty can implement some of the company\u2019s practices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Goodman speaker series provides an informal opportunity to listen to and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with international business colleagues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The talk will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Goodman School of Business Room 205.
