{"id":55486,"date":"2019-01-16T15:16:03","date_gmt":"2019-01-16T20:16:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=55486"},"modified":"2019-01-16T16:21:56","modified_gmt":"2019-01-16T21:21:56","slug":"united-states-federal-reserve-economist-to-speak-at-brock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2019\/01\/united-states-federal-reserve-economist-to-speak-at-brock\/","title":{"rendered":"United States Federal Reserve economist to speak at Brock"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A senior economist in monetary affairs from the Federal Reserve \u2014 the central bank of the United States \u2014 will be speaking at Goodman School of Business this week.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/faculty-research\/luncheon-speaker-series\/\">Luncheon Speaker Series<\/a>, Olesya Grishchenko, from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalreserve.gov\/econres\/olesya-v-grishchenko.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Board of Governors of the U.S. Federal Reserve System<\/a>, will present her co-authored paper \u201cGauging the sentiment of Federal Open Market Committee communications through the eyes of the financial press\u201d on Friday, Jan. 18.<\/p>\n<p>The speaker series provides an informal opportunity to listen to and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with international business colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>The talk will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Goodman School of Business Room 205.
