{"id":55407,"date":"2019-01-15T10:03:47","date_gmt":"2019-01-15T15:03:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=55407"},"modified":"2019-01-15T10:04:15","modified_gmt":"2019-01-15T15:04:15","slug":"call-for-proposals-opens-for-annual-graduate-studies-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2019\/01\/call-for-proposals-opens-for-annual-graduate-studies-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for proposals opens for annual Graduate Studies conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brock graduate students can now submit research proposals to present at the 14th annual Mapping the New Knowledges (MNK) Graduate Student Research Conference this spring.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Master\u2019s and doctoral students, at any stage of their research, have until Feb. 19 to apply to give either an oral or poster presentation at the one-day conference on Thursday, April 11.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presented by the Faculty of Graduate Studies in partnership with the Graduate Students\u2019 Association, the MNK conference takes place from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Plaza Building and Cairns Family Health and Bioscience Research Complex. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFor many students, MNK is their first opportunity to share their research. It helps graduate students to feel connected to the larger Brock community,\u201d said Diane Dupont, Interim Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBrock prides itself on being an institution focused on transdisciplinary studies.
