Advances in mobile technologies have increased mobile internet use and provided new opportunities for retailers. However, despite promising growth, mobile commerce still only represents a small proportion of the world\u2019s total e-commerce market.<\/p>\n
This week\u2019s Goodman Luncheon Speaker Series<\/a> will feature Abdul Ashraf, Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Goodman School of Business, as he shares his research on comparing customers\u2019 value perceptions, trust and m-commerce use across six countries to provide insights to mobile retailers operating internationally. Ashraf is the latest recipient of the Goodman\u2019s Emerging Scholar of the Year<\/a> award for his recent research contributions.<\/p>\n Ashraf will present his co-authored paper \u201cDifferential effects of customers\u2019 regulatory fit on trust, perceived value and m-commerce use among developing and developed countries\u201d on Friday, Nov. 30. The talk will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Goodman School of Business Room 310. Goodman faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to attend.\u00a0The speaker series provides an informal opportunity to listen to and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with business colleagues.<\/p>\n
