If the record-breaking crowd at Fall Preview Day is any indication, word is spreading that the Brock experience is second to none.<\/span><\/p>\n

The University welcomed 5,300 prospective students and family members on Sunday, Nov. 4, smashing existing benchmarks and marking the biggest spring or fall open house in the school\u2019s history.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brock saw record-breaking attendance at its Fall Preview Day on Sunday, Nov. 4.<\/p><\/div>\n

Brock saw a 24 per cent increase in attendance over 2017\u2019s Fall Preview Day, with more than 1,000 additional guests taking in program-specific presentations, visiting labs, watching athletic demonstrations and touring the scenic campus to learn what the signature Brock experience is all about.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a fantastic day for Brock. The entire campus community is to be congratulated for putting together a first-class visitor experience,\u201d said Beth Natale, Director, Recruitment and Retention. \u201cMore than 400 faculty, staff, senior administrators and student staff and volunteers demonstrated clearly that what we have here at Brock is second to none.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Both Brock\u2019s main campus as well as the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts in downtown St. Catharines were at capacity throughout the day as curious visitors toured the facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur guests appeared to enjoy every minute of the energy and the welcoming vibe at each location,\u201d Natale said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The banner day comes on the heels of Brock\u2019s record enrolment of more than 19,000 students for the 2018-19 school year. The University was also recently ranked third in Canada for student experience among comprehensive universities by <\/span>Maclean\u2019s Magazine<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Owen Keeler was among the thousands of prospective students who travelled to campus Sunday to learn more about the Brock experience he was initially introduced to while attending September\u2019s Ontario Universities\u2019 Fair in Toronto.<\/span><\/p>\n

With mom Michelle by his side, the Toronto native got a taste of what he could expect if he attends Brock next fall to take courses in Business and Earth Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n

Keeler was impressed not only by Brock\u2019s academic offerings but also with its athletics facilities, and was pleased to learn about the Zone expansion planned for the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n

The University\u2019s setting, within a <\/span>UNESCO designated Biosphere Reserve<\/span><\/a> at the top of the Niagara Escarpment, also caught his attention.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAll the nature, having the Bruce Trail right here, that really stood out for me,\u201d the Grade 12 student said, adding he was surprised at how cohesively the school\u2019s amenities blended with the natural setting.<\/span><\/p>\n

While Brock University has long been on her radar, Erin Stockman was excited for the opportunity to tour the main campus alongside mother Cindy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Beamsville resident is eyeing Brock\u2019s Medical Sciences program for next fall and said it was nice to get an up-close-and-personal look at what the school has to offer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brock President Gervan Fearon offered his congratulations to all involved for making Fall Preview Day, the University\u2019s largest on-campus recruiting event, an \u201coverwhelming success.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is wonderful to see the results and appreciation of the amazing work, education and research activities taking place at Brock,\u201d he said. \u201cThe University is making a difference and students, parents and the community are sending this message in outstanding numbers.”<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t
