{"id":53916,"date":"2018-10-18T13:46:15","date_gmt":"2018-10-18T17:46:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=53916"},"modified":"2018-10-18T13:46:15","modified_gmt":"2018-10-18T17:46:15","slug":"proposals-sought-for-tech-showcase-presentations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2018\/10\/proposals-sought-for-tech-showcase-presentations\/","title":{"rendered":"Proposals sought for tech showcase presentations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">University instructors and researchers are invited to<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/pedagogical-innovation\/teaching-tools\/teaching-and-research-showcase\/#1538496180190-30c4d530-801c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">submit proposals<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the second annual Teaching and Research Technology Showcase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A collaboration between the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation and Information Technology Services (ITS), the showcase is an opportunity for researchers, research assistants, graduate students, faculty members, teaching assistants, instructors, librarians and other teaching staff to demonstrate how they are using campus technology in their own teaching or research practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOur goal is to bring together teaching and research folks who are doing cool things on campus with our shared technology,\u201d said Michael Brousseau, Acting Manager, eLearning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis showcase isn\u2019t about training \u2014 we want people to demonstrate how and why they are uniquely using the technology for their own research and pedagogy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The free, interactive event is planned for Thursday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon.
