The brief, which was written by Observatory director and Professor of Political Science\u00a0Charles Conteh and recent master\u2019s graduate in the Department of Political Science\u00a0Sean Calcott, was presented at the University on Thursday, Sept. 27.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CTV Windsor anchor receives Distinguished Alumni Award:<\/strong> The return of Jim Crichton (BA \u201979) to Brock University to receive the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Faculty of Humanities was featured on <a href=\"https:\/\/windsor.ctvnews.ca\/ctv-windsor-anchor-receives-distinguished-alumni-award-1.4106842\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CTV Windsor<\/a>. Crichton, a native of Port Colborne, has worked in broadcasting for nearly 45 years and currently serves as CTV Windsor\u2019s senior anchor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weathering the storm: How the changing climate affects our vineyards:<\/strong> Brock research about the effects of climate change was featured in an article about wine production in Nova Scotia on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecoast.ca\/halifax\/weathering-the-storm-how-the-changing-climate-affects-our-vineyards\/Content?oid=17772207\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Coast website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brock to expand wellness programs for seniors:<\/strong> The expansion of Brock\u2019s SeniorFit and Heart Strong programs through a new partnership with Wellness Suites Condominiums was discussed in a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iheartradio.ca\/610cktb\/news\/local\/brock-to-expand-wellness-programs-for-seniors-1.8463826\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newstalk 610 CKTB article<\/a>. Upon its completion in September 2019, Brock students will guide the development\u2019s residents through personalized exercise and rehabilitation programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sorry, wrong number! But I\u2019ll come to your auntie\u2019s wake; stranger accepts invite after text mix-up:<\/strong> Brock student Leena Ali was featured in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestar.com\/news\/gta\/2018\/09\/26\/sorry-wrong-number-but-ill-come-to-your-aunts-wake-stranger-accepts-an-invite-after-receiving-a-text-intended-for-someone-else.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Toronto Star article<\/a> after she chose to attend a wake she had been accidentally invited to.
