{"id":52027,"date":"2018-06-26T11:22:31","date_gmt":"2018-06-26T15:22:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=52027"},"modified":"2018-06-26T11:22:31","modified_gmt":"2018-06-26T15:22:31","slug":"english-prof-appointed-new-associate-dean-in-the-faculty-of-humanities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2018\/06\/english-prof-appointed-new-associate-dean-in-the-faculty-of-humanities\/","title":{"rendered":"English prof appointed new Associate Dean in the Faculty of Humanities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In her new role as\u00a0Associate Dean, Undergraduate Student Affairs and Curriculum in the Faculty of Humanities,\u00a0Professor Neta Gordon looks forward to supporting students and programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first-year space is often a difficult one to negotiate, especially for students who are new to the ever-changing university,\u201d says Gordon, who starts the new role on Sunday, July 1. \u201cA lot of my interest in the undergraduate experience emerges from thinking about how to make that space lively and productive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature, Gordon has taught first-year students almost every year since arriving at Brock in 2002.
