Faculty and staff using Workday\u2019s financial services modules (Workday Finance) will see additional information, including their own employee data such as personal and contact information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Changes are expected to come in waves and once Workday\u2019s human resources component (Workday HR) goes live, records will be accurate. An important feature of Workday HR is its rigorous safeguards for employee data security. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2018\/05\/training-sessions-scheduled-for-new-human-resources-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Training sessions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> scheduled throughout June will offer guidance on using different modules in Workday, including how employees can directly access and update their own personal information.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_51250\" style=\"width: 985px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-51250\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-51250 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Workday-Canvas.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"975\" height=\"572\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-51250\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Workday\u2019s new \u2018Canvas\u2019 user interface features large icons and colours to match Brock\u2019s brand.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employees may also notice a new Workday design. Launched Monday, May 21, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.sharepoint.com\/Financial-Services\/Documents\/Finance%20Website\/WorkdayCanvasJobAid.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Workday&#8217;s new &#8216;Canvas&#8217; design<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> features large, clean icons that allow for more intuitive navigation. The new interface reflects Brock&#8217;s branding and is more adaptable to varying screen sizes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employees are encouraged to visit the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.sharepoint.com\/Workday\/Pages\/Project-Mosaic-Updates.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Workday SharePoint<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> site on a regular basis between now and July 1 to register for upcoming training events and to view important dates focused on job postings, contracts, time sheets and vacation balances. Click \u201cContact Us\u201d to ask questions and provide feedback.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once launched, Workday HR will allow real-time access to data, reduce duplication and provide a unified system of record for improved analytics, reporting and forecasting for planning and operational decisions.
