{"id":51216,"date":"2018-05-25T14:40:01","date_gmt":"2018-05-25T18:40:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=51216"},"modified":"2018-12-20T11:51:02","modified_gmt":"2018-12-20T16:51:02","slug":"culture-cafe-series-launched-by-brock-international","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2018\/05\/culture-cafe-series-launched-by-brock-international\/","title":{"rendered":"Culture Caf\u00e9 series launched by Brock International"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first in a series of events meant to increase intercultural competency on campus is taking place next week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Launched by Brock International Services, Culture Caf\u00e9 will start on Wednesday, May 30 and continue throughout the summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The series aims to boost intercultural awareness among students to help them understand and embrace the positive impact that different races, languages and cultures have in an increasingly diverse society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For a growing number of employers, intercultural competency and awareness is seen as a top skill for new hires.
