Along with one of Brock\u2019s Discovery Grant Evaluation Group members, Payne will discuss what\u2019s new at NSERC, results from the 2018 competition and how to prepare a Discovery Grant application. The session will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in Cairns 207. Participants who RSVP in advance will receive additional information and support to maximize the benefit of their attendance. It will be rescheduled for a future date, which has not yet been determined. Work is underway\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">to develop a comprehensive workshop with strategies and institutional best practices for sourcing budgets through external grants as well as in-kind\/cash contributions.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">In lieu of the planned session, one-on-one consultations are being offered to those who were planning to attend. If interested, please contact <a href=\"https:\/\/mailbox.brocku.ca\/owa\/redir.aspx?C=_utqiInft0nfeS5q9eu4P46WxHyMW2osOqG-Nf2VHRvamOldbLDVCA..&amp;URL=mailto:orsadmin%40brocku.ca\"><span class=\"s2\">orsadmin@brocku.ca<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SSHRC partnerships virtual workshop \u2013 June 18<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) will host a workshop Monday, June 18 to provide an overview of SSHRC\u2019s partnership funding, including<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca\/funding-financement\/programs-programmes\/partnership_engage_grants-subventions_d_engagement_partenarial-eng.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Partnership Engage Grants<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ($7,000 to $25,000),<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca\/funding-financement\/programs-programmes\/partnership_development_grants-subventions_partenariat_developpement-eng.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Partnership Development Grants<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ($75,000 to $200,000) and<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca\/funding-financement\/programs-programmes\/partnership_grants_stage1-subventions_partenariat_etape1-eng.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Partnership Grants<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (up to $2.5 million), and an opportunity to ask program- and application-related questions. Brock faculty with SSHRC-funded partnerships will share their experiences with partnership development and application preparation. All eligible researchers who are interested in applying for SSHRC partnership funds this year or in coming years are encouraged to attend.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The workshop will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in Welch Hall 147 or virtually for online attendance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RSVPs are required for virtual attendees at <\/span><a href=\"mailto:orsadmin@brocku.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">orsadmin@brocku.ca<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Research impact webinar viewing and discussion \u2013 June 21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Canadian Association of Research Administrators (CARA) is holding a webinar for researchers and research facilitators to provide information and answer questions about measuring and communicating <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cara-acaar.ca\/events\/18181905\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">research impacts<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
