{"id":50410,"date":"2018-04-10T09:15:44","date_gmt":"2018-04-10T13:15:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=50410"},"modified":"2018-04-10T09:15:44","modified_gmt":"2018-04-10T13:15:44","slug":"its-survey-seeks-feedback-from-brock-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2018\/04\/its-survey-seeks-feedback-from-brock-community\/","title":{"rendered":"ITS survey seeks feedback from Brock community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Wi-Fi and computer labs to database systems and IT support, Brock\u2019s Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking input from the Brock community on the services it provides.<\/p>\n<p>The fourth-annual ITS Client Satisfaction Survey was emailed to all Brock University faculty, staff and students Wednesday, March 28.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, ITS received approximately 1,000 responses, but Andy Morgan, Director of Client Services for ITS, would like to see increased participation this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s important for us to understand our clients\u2019 needs and receive feedback so that we can make improvements to our business processes,\u201d he said. \u201cFor example, a couple of years ago the survey results indicated that many students were unaware of the ITS Help Desk. So, we implemented a marketing and communications campaign to help increase awareness of this service.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Improvements to Brock\u2019s wireless network were also made as a result of the annual ITS survey \u2014 and satisfaction rates have been steadily increasing.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s survey covers topics such as: email; phone and voicemail; wireless network; computer and teaching labs; security and passwords; Office 365; SharePoint intranet; Isaak \u2014 Brock\u2019s Sakai-based Learning Management System; and the my.brocku.ca portal\/BrockDB Student Information System.<\/p>\n<p>To fill out the anonymous survey, click on the link that was sent to your Brock email. It takes about 10 minutes and must be completed in one sitting; it cannot be restarted.
