{"id":49961,"date":"2018-03-16T14:30:52","date_gmt":"2018-03-16T18:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=49961"},"modified":"2018-03-16T16:33:09","modified_gmt":"2018-03-16T20:33:09","slug":"international-students-sought-to-share-their-brock-experiences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2018\/03\/international-students-sought-to-share-their-brock-experiences\/","title":{"rendered":"International students sought to share their Brock experiences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Making the decision to study abroad can be intimidating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To help create a sense of comfort among international students considering Brock to further their education, the University annually enlists 10 outstanding students to answer questions and share their experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The International Student Ambassador Award Program recognizes international students each academic year who exemplify the mission and vision of Brock, as a result of high academic achievements and\/or community engagement, both on and off campus. The search is now on for students to represent the school for the 2018-19 academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBeing an ambassador is an honour and a responsibility,\u201d said Ana Sofia Caldeira Rua, a second-year Economics and Business student from Portugal whose time in the ambassador role comes to an end in April. \u201cYou are representing Brock in everything that you do.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The student ambassadors work with Brock International to share with prospective students from around the world what life is like at the University, both inside and outside of the classroom.
