{"id":49910,"date":"2018-03-15T08:53:12","date_gmt":"2018-03-15T12:53:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=49910"},"modified":"2018-03-15T17:13:12","modified_gmt":"2018-03-15T21:13:12","slug":"goodman-talk-to-focus-on-business-ethics-in-the-classroom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2018\/03\/goodman-talk-to-focus-on-business-ethics-in-the-classroom\/","title":{"rendered":"Goodman talk to focus on business ethics in the classroom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Business ethics in the classroom will be at the centre of Friday\u2019s instalment of the Goodman Luncheon Speaker Series.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_49911\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-49911\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-49911 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Paul-Dunn.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-49911\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Paul Dunn, Associate Professor of Business Ethics at Brock\u2019s Goodman School of Business.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paul Dunn, Associate Professor of Business Ethics at Brock\u2019s Goodman School of Business, will speak about incorporating ethical analysis into classes and will provide faculty with the theoretical foundations they need to introduce the topic in class discussions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the second half of the presentation, participants will analyze a business ethics case to gain a better understanding of how business ethics theories fit within the larger business context.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In its 12th year, Goodman\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/faculty-research\/luncheon-speaker-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luncheon Speaker Series<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides an informal and engaging opportunity to listen and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with colleagues internationally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event is being held in Sankey Chamber Friday, March 16 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Space is limited. Goodman faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to attend.
