{"id":49850,"date":"2018-03-13T14:51:30","date_gmt":"2018-03-13T18:51:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=49850"},"modified":"2018-03-13T17:48:35","modified_gmt":"2018-03-13T21:48:35","slug":"employees-needed-to-test-new-human-resources-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2018\/03\/employees-needed-to-test-new-human-resources-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Employees needed to test new Human Resources system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock&#8217;s new Human Resources system is ready to be tested by members of the University community.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of Human Resources is seeking Brock employees to volunteer their time using the new human capital management system, <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2017\/11\/brock-human-resources-preparing-to-launch-new-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Workday HR<\/a>. This is an opportunity for employees to learn the system and help correct data in advance of the July 1 launch date.<\/p>\n<p>An ideal tester has knowledge of how technology affects an end-user and has a strong knowledge of their Faculty or department\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of testers needed include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managers who approve time off (vacation and sick time).<\/li>\n<li>Managers who hire students and part-time employees on contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Department Chairs responsible for recruiting administrative staff and co-ordinating faculty search committees.<\/li>\n<li>Employees to assist in testing direct access such as changing their personal information and requesting time off.<\/li>\n<li>Employees who apply for internal postings. (You are encouraged to come even if you currently aren\u2019t looking for a career change.)<\/li>\n<li>Deans to assist in testing the faculty recruitment and academic appointment processes.<\/li>\n<li>Faculty who hire research staff (on contract or limited-term basis).<\/li>\n<li>Administrative assistants who post vacancies, and process part-time instructor and teaching assistant contracts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Testing is taking place end of March through April.
