{"id":48861,"date":"2018-01-16T15:30:53","date_gmt":"2018-01-16T20:30:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=48861"},"modified":"2018-01-16T15:53:49","modified_gmt":"2018-01-16T20:53:49","slug":"volunteers-invited-to-help-organize-black-history-month-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2018\/01\/volunteers-invited-to-help-organize-black-history-month-events\/","title":{"rendered":"Volunteers invited to help organize Black History Month events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creative minds are being invited to the table to help organize a series of events being planned to mark Black History Month at Brock.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A meeting is being held Friday, Jan. 19 to bring together all Brock community members interested in contributing to the February events that will recognize African heritage. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having a variety of passionate volunteers will help to ensure that \u201cthe learnings from African Heritage Month are inclusive of multiple voices and perspectives from the Brock community,\u201d said Tamari Kitossa.
