{"id":48638,"date":"2018-01-03T16:10:41","date_gmt":"2018-01-03T21:10:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=48638"},"modified":"2018-01-03T16:16:05","modified_gmt":"2018-01-03T21:16:05","slug":"brock-students-set-to-make-monster-pitch-to-entrepreneurs-at-sold-out-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2018\/01\/brock-students-set-to-make-monster-pitch-to-entrepreneurs-at-sold-out-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock students set to make Monster Pitch to entrepreneurs at sold-out event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four Brock University student teams will present their business ideas to an all-star panel of judges Monday, Jan. 8 as the Goodman School of Business Monster Pitch returns to the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.<\/p>\n<p>The student teams from multiple Brock faculties will be competing for a prize package worth more than $12,500 in cash and startup support services.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s judging panel includes: David Chilton, author of <em>The Wealthy Barber <\/em>series; Bruce Croxon, co-host of BNN\u2019s <em>The Disruptors<\/em> and CEO of Round13; Deborah Rosati, corporate director and co-founder of Women Get On Board; and Jason Sparaga, co-founder and co-CEO of Spark Power Corp. and founder of Spara Capital Partners.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the hit TV show <em>Dragons\u2019 Den<\/em>, Monster Pitch is hosted by the Brock Innovation Group student club.
