{"id":48121,"date":"2017-11-29T16:01:04","date_gmt":"2017-11-29T21:01:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=48121"},"modified":"2017-11-29T16:35:57","modified_gmt":"2017-11-29T21:35:57","slug":"tech-showcase-to-highlight-teaching-research-tools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2017\/11\/tech-showcase-to-highlight-teaching-research-tools\/","title":{"rendered":"Tech showcase to highlight teaching, research tools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An upcoming Teaching and Research Technology Showcase will feature advanced resources and tools now being supported and used at Brock.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Brock community is invited to attend the free interactive event that will take place Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 9 to 11 a.m. in Market Hall. The showcase is a joint presentation by Information Technology Services (ITS) and the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation (CPI).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAfter holding separate teaching and research technology events in the past, we felt that partnering on one event would provide a full picture of the level of investment that the University is making in new technology and show how this support is dynamically changing the way we teach and conduct research,\u201d says CPI\u2019s Director Jill Grose.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grose and Andy Morgan, ITS Director of Client Services, encouraged the Brock community to attend and see how the latest technology is being applied and how it\u2019s shaping the intersection of discovery, scholarship and learning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFaculty, students and staff have a chance to see tools in action and the multipurpose application for technology.
