Participants are needed to combine school spirit with holiday cheer at upcoming Niagara parades.<\/span><\/p>\n

Members of the Brock community are invited to participate in the Nov. 25 Thorold Santa Claus Parade and the Dec. 9 Niagara-on-the-Lake Christmas Parade.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each will play host to a holiday-themed Brock float and, with the help of the University community, a festive group of participants walking alongside handing out candy canes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Having seen a record turnout of more than 200 participants for this fall\u2019s Niagara Grape and Wine Festival Grande Parade, and a smaller, but equally boisterous, group for last Sunday\u2019s Santa Claus parade in St. Catharines, Tanya Bradley, Brock\u2019s Manager of Student and Community Experience, is hoping that similar Brock spirit will be present during the remaining holiday parades.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cParticipating in the parades is a great way to start the holiday season and represent Brock in the community,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond helping to spread joy during the festive season in Niagara, student participants will also earn credit for their Campus-Wide Co-Curriculum and interact with a wide array of staff, faculty and other students from around the University.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants will walk alongside the Brock float for about an hour and are strongly encouraged to wear as much red Brock gear as possible while also dressing for the chilly winter weather.<\/span><\/p>\n
