{"id":47700,"date":"2017-11-06T13:10:51","date_gmt":"2017-11-06T18:10:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=47700"},"modified":"2017-11-08T10:51:35","modified_gmt":"2017-11-08T15:51:35","slug":"goodman-grad-returns-to-talk-business-tactics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2017\/11\/goodman-grad-returns-to-talk-business-tactics\/","title":{"rendered":"Goodman grad returns to talk business tactics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Goodman School of Business alumnus Jeff Boichuk (BBA \u201908, MSc \u201910) will return to Brock this week to present his research on sales force management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The assistant professor of commerce at University of Virginia\u2019s McIntire School of Commerce will discuss his paper, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/wp-content\/uploads\/primary-site\/sites\/6\/jeff_boichuk_paper.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Man on the Bench: The Power of the Stick in the Sales Force<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as part of Goodman\u2019s Luncheon Speaker Series. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boichuk\u2019s research focuses on tactics, such as commission and punishment, sales leaders use to manage the performance of their sales forces and examines the effect that punishment has on employee performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now in its 12th year, Goodman\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/faculty-research\/luncheon-speaker-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luncheon Speaker Series<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides an informal and engaging opportunity to listen to and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with colleagues internationally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event is held in Sankey Chambers on Friday, Nov. 10 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Space is limited.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Goodman faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to attend.
