{"id":47526,"date":"2017-10-30T13:19:23","date_gmt":"2017-10-30T17:19:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=47526"},"modified":"2017-10-30T13:19:23","modified_gmt":"2017-10-30T17:19:23","slug":"applications-open-for-gis-scholarship-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2017\/10\/applications-open-for-gis-scholarship-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Applications open for GIS scholarship competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the seventh consecutive year, Brock has been selected to participate in the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ecce.esri.ca\/scholarships\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esri Canada $1,000 Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Student Scholarship Program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scholarship will help support a Brock undergraduate or graduate student who is currently enrolled, dedicated and high achieving to continue their studies in GIS and consider it as a post-graduation career option. The scholarship also includes $50,000 in Esri software, books and training deliverables.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brock University is one of a select group of Canadian universities and colleges that Esri Canada recognizes for its strong, multidisciplinary focus on GIS.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students interested in applying can visit Brock\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/maplibrary\/GISday\/2017\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GIS Day website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for guidelines and more information.
