{"id":47499,"date":"2017-10-26T08:50:20","date_gmt":"2017-10-26T12:50:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=47499"},"modified":"2017-11-03T10:24:39","modified_gmt":"2017-11-03T14:24:39","slug":"speaker-series-to-highlight-international-profs-leadership-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2017\/10\/speaker-series-to-highlight-international-profs-leadership-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Speaker series to highlight international prof\u2019s leadership research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anna Baczynska, Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management at Kozminski University in Poland, will visit Brock University\u2019s Goodman School of Business next week to present her research on leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Held as part of Goodman\u2019s Luncheon Speaker Series, her presentation will discuss her paper, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/wp-content\/uploads\/primary-site\/sites\/6\/Bounded-Leadership_Ko%C5%BAmi%C5%84ski.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leadership Competencies Among Managers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, that was published in the Journal of Management and Business Administration journal earlier this year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Baczynska\u2019s research focuses on the relationship between leadership competencies and the psychological predisposition of leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now in its 12th year, Goodman\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/faculty-research\/luncheon-speaker-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luncheon Speaker Series<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides an informal and engaging opportunity to listen and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with colleagues internationally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event is being held in Sankey Chambers on Friday, Nov. 3 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Space is limited.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Goodman faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to attend.
