From Nov. 1 through early December, technicians will be working their way through the University, replacing Brock\u2019s current multi-functional device photocopiers\/printers with new models.<\/p>\n
As Brock concludes its current agreement for these services and embarks on a new contract with a different provider, staff from ITS and Printing Services will replace existing copiers with the Ricoh MP C4504ex Colour multi-functional device.<\/p>\n
The new units are to be installed at a rate of 20 per week. Departments will receive a Quick Start users guide with notification of their scheduled installation date printed on the front cover. Existing Xerox devices will be removed when the installation is completed.<\/p>\n
Besides using updated technology for improved printing, copying and scanning, the Ricoh system introduces services such as a Find-Me print feature that lets people print or copy at any device on campus, with charges being tracked to your department via the existing Paper-Cut tracking tool and your employee card. Getting print jobs to the new printers will also be easier due to a single-universal print-queue feature called Print-It. The new devices will be defaulted to black and white, double-sided printing.<\/p>\n
