A new partnership between Brock Sports and respected nutrition brand CLIF Bar and Company will provide student-athletes on four Badgers teams with all the products they need to perform at their best.<\/p>\n
The CLIF Bar partnership is focusing on the men\u2019s and women\u2019s lacrosse and hockey teams for the 2017-18 season.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fabulous partnership we have with CLIF Bar falls right in line with our mandate to provide the best nutrition available to our student-athletes,\u201d said Brock Sports Director Neil Lumsden.<\/p>\n
The specific nutrition products available have been selected by Steve Lidstone, Manager of the Brock Sport Performance Centre, who said the athletes will be provided with what they need to fuel them properly.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne of the biggest challenges we face at the national and provincial levels is how the athletes make their nutritional choices away from practices and games,\u201d Lidstone said. \u201cMany athletes don\u2019t eat enough calories or plan snacks for before, during and after practices and games.\u201d<\/p>\n
The new partnership will provide the athletes with products such as CLIF Bars, CLIF BUILDER\u2019S Protein Bars, CLIF BLOKS Energy Chews and CLIF SHOT Gels, \u201callowing our lacrosse and hockey players to be properly fuelled to perform at a higher level than before,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Veronica Navarrette, Experience Marketing Manager for Canada at CLIF Bar and Company, said the company is excited about the partnership.<\/p>\n
