<\/b>Dozens of new signs placed around the University, as well as volunteers directing those new to Brock, are expected to help students navigate the major construction underway on campus.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A number of measures have been put in place to assist with the influx of foot traffic set to return to Brock beginning with Sunday\u2019s Move-In Day event.<\/span><\/p>\n

Large maps indicating detours around the <\/span>Brock LINC construction project<\/span><\/a> in front of Schmon Tower and the Goodman School of Business expansion project<\/a> will be on display in front of Welch Hall, near the bus drop-off area, Student-Alumni Centre and the Cairns Family Health and Bioscience Research Complex.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additional signage will be found throughout campus, including floor stickers with arrows to direct foot traffic along the recommended detour routes.<\/span><\/p>\n

For anyone who needs additional assistance, trained student ambassadors wearing \u2018Ask Me\u2019 buttons \u2014 part of the BrockU4U campaign<\/a> \u2014 will be stationed in various areas and on the lookout for people to help.<\/span><\/p>\n

A portion of the Schmon Tower lobby, available through the Learning Commons, will be made accessible on Tuesday to permit access to the Tower elevators. An additional route to the elevators from the Thistle Complex will open in the near future.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The detours are intended to \u201cmake circulation and access to Brock facilities as simple and clear as possible while maintaining safety for everyone around the construction sites,\u201d said Project Manager Scott Roper. \u201cDetours will continue for the entire project due to limitations of the site.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The next phase of the LINC construction will see structural steel installed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOnce the steel arrives, people will be able to get a better idea of how much this is going to change the face of the campus,\u201d Roper said. \u201cThank you to everyone for their patience and understanding while we make such grand improvements to the University.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
