The steel beam bearing the signatures of more than 1,000 members of the Brock community is now part of the framework of the new Goodman School of Business building.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the business school <\/span>autographed the steel beam in February<\/span><\/a>, covering every square inch with names and messages in permanent marker.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the help of a large crane, construction workers from Niagara Rigging and Erecting Company Ltd. hoisted the beam into place Tuesday, embedding it into the school\u2019s structural support.<\/span><\/p>\n

The steel span \u2014 and its many signatures \u2014 are now safely stowed in the southwest corner of the east addition that will feature\u00a0six new classrooms.<\/span><\/p>\n

The beam joins 300 others\u00a0that make up the skeleton of the addition. Its installation\u00a0marks the end of the framing phase.<\/span><\/p>\n

Installed close to the Canadian Tire bridge at the fourth-floor level, it will be visible until the roof is added in the coming months.<\/span><\/p>\n
