{"id":45781,"date":"2017-07-13T17:18:48","date_gmt":"2017-07-13T21:18:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=45781"},"modified":"2017-07-13T17:18:48","modified_gmt":"2017-07-13T21:18:48","slug":"hwy-406-construction-brings-more-road-closures-next-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2017\/07\/hwy-406-construction-brings-more-road-closures-next-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Hwy. 406 construction brings more road closures next week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brock University commuters who travel through the interchange of Highways 406, 58 and St. David\u2019s Road should prepare for additional road closures set to begin next week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crews began a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2017\/06\/finally-a-safer-walk-along-st-davids-road\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">three-year overhaul<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the busy junction earlier this week, introducing a number of immediate lane reductions and closures, and restricting pedestrian access on the north side of St. David\u2019s Road. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beginning the week of July 17, additional closures and lane reductions will take place at the interchange. Some will be overnight traffic restrictions, but others will see lanes or ramps shut down for several months. They will include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Traffic reduced to a single lane in both directions on St. David\u2019s Road<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ramp to St David\u2019s Road West \/Sir Isaac Brock Way (leading to the University) shut down until November or December.
