{"id":44838,"date":"2017-05-18T11:19:12","date_gmt":"2017-05-18T15:19:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=44838"},"modified":"2017-05-18T16:20:40","modified_gmt":"2017-05-18T20:20:40","slug":"farmers-market-returning-to-jubilee-court-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2017\/05\/farmers-market-returning-to-jubilee-court-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Farmers Market returning to Jubilee Court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sunshine, fresh produce and the smell of barbecue wafting through the air will all soon return as a weekly lunch hour staple at Brock University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The annual Brock Farmers Market is returning to Jubilee Court beginning Thursday, May 25.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The popular event will transform the green space every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. until September.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The market is intended to draw students, staff and faculty out on their lunch break to enjoy some fresh air, good food and the company of the Brock community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bring a lunch or buy one fresh off the grill.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The weekly event will include a barbecue, as well as a handful of vendors selling fruits and vegetables, fresh baked goods and handcrafted items.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Live music will fill Jubilee Court each week from noon to 1 p.m., and there will be a variety of outdoor games, including bean bag toss, ladder ball and bocce ball, available for people to play.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe whole idea is to get out of your office for lunch.
