The Brock Badgers have been recognized by Ontario University Athletics for their success off the court.<\/p>\n

The second annual OUA CHAMP Awards (Celebrating and Honouring Achievements in Marketing and Promotions) were held Wednesday night in Huntsville, where Brock University won awards for Best Social Media Account and Best Fan Support Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have an exceptional group of students that engage in the promotion and support of our Badger teams,\u201d said Brock Sports Director Neil Lumsden. \u201cThey are simply the best.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Badgers grew all of their social media accounts over the past year with the addition of many of their 45 teams joining the trend to promote their individual sports and the Brock Badgers brand as a whole.<\/p>\n

In 2016-17, Brock again boasted the \u2018Best Fans in Canada\u2019 while selling out almost every basketball home game and topping more than 3,000 in attendance for both the Annual Steel Blade Hockey Game and a basketball home game against the OUA rival Ryerson Rams at the Meridian Centre.<\/p>\n

Over the past few years, the Badgers have been recognized on both a provincial and national stage as they continue to grow their family both on campus and in the community. This year Brock also captured five more championships, giving the school a total of 115 in its 53-year history.<\/p>\n
