This year\u2019s competition will be held at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre Monday, April 3.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dalton Steele is looking to give his business maximum exposure.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fourth-year business student developed HOMESHARP, a professional photo editing service for realtors, from his passion for entrepreneurship and knowledge of real estate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mobile app is being crafted in tandem with Steele\u2019s other business venture, Huvr Media, a marketing agency for luxury real estate in southern Ontario that now serves more than a dozen regular clients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HOMESHARP, focused on servicing real estate agents selling low- to mid-range homes, will complement Huvr Media\u2019s business model by giving realtors an affordable way to produce professional photos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agents will be able to take property photos on their iPhone using a recommended external lens and upload them to the app to photo editors working behind the scenes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWith all of that combined, we\u2019re able to get excellent results out of the iPhone sensor and provide a lot of value to real estate agents for a much cheaper cost per listing,\u201d Steele said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Best described as a serial entrepreneur, Steele has worked on multiple business ideas since starting at Brock.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With a goal to pursue entrepreneurship as a career, the Niagara native was drawn to BioLinc, the University\u2019s business incubator run by the Goodman School of Business, in his second year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEveryone in my family is a little bit entrepreneurial and I\u2019ve always had those tendencies, so it was a natural fit for me at BioLinc,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After working as a BioLinc ambassador during his first co-op work term, participating in the Kick-Starting Entrepreneurship program and competing at last year\u2019s Monster Pitch competition, Steele has developed a strong support network of like-minded young entrepreneurs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now working full-time on his business on an entrepreneurial co-op work term, Steele is looking forward to returning to the Monster Pitch stage next week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019m really excited to share my business and get feedback from the judges because the feedback I got last year was so valuable,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m really excited to hear the other pitches, too.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Already a sold out event, Monster Pitch is taking place Monday, April 3 at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
