The recruitment of\u00a0the University’s next Vice-President, Research<\/a> is in full sail, steered by an Advisory Committee anchored by some of Brock’s top researchers (including two Canada Research Chairs) and chaired by Interim President Tom Traves.<\/p>\n

The position has been posted<\/a> in the media and on public websites, and preliminary discussions will be held with potential candidates. All expressions of interest are encouraged to contact the search consultant, Laverne Smith & Associates<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Advisory Committee will oversee a confidential search process that includes reviewing all candidates, creating a shortlist, conducting interviews and ultimately providing the President with a recommendation. The successful candidate will replace biological scientist Joffre Mercier, who has been serving as Interim VP Research since the fall of 2016.<\/p>\n
