Established by the Canadian Psychiatric Association in 1992, it is now coordinated by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.camimh.ca\/mental-illness-awareness-week\/about-miaw\/\" target=\"_blank\">Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health <\/a>in cooperation with its member organizations and many other supporters across Canada.<\/p>\n<p>As part of MIAW\u2019s goal of raising awareness of mental illness, this is the first of three articles submitted by Brock University Human Resources focusing on resources available to Brock staff and faculty through their benefits, as well as resources and supports in the broader Niagara community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brock Staff and Faculty Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a Brock employee with benefits, there are many services available for individuals that are either personally experiencing mental illness or supporting a family member or close friend with mental illness.
