{"id":41315,"date":"2016-09-29T11:25:13","date_gmt":"2016-09-29T15:25:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=41315"},"modified":"2016-09-29T11:27:18","modified_gmt":"2016-09-29T15:27:18","slug":"fall-heating-adjustments-being-made-at-main-campus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2016\/09\/fall-heating-adjustments-being-made-at-main-campus\/","title":{"rendered":"Fall heating adjustments being made at main campus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With the arrival of fall and cooler temperatures, Brock University Facilities Management trades staff have prepared the main campus heating systems for winter operation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Due to the type of heating and cooling systems used on the campus, many buildings are not capable of heating and cooling during the same cycle. Heating and cooling is provided to the majority of main campus buildings from the cogeneration plant. Stand-alone heating and cooling systems are provided for the Cairns Family Health and Bioscience Complex, Plaza Building, Kenmore Centre, Harrison Hall, Lowenberger Residence, Village Residence and all satellite campuses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As we experience typical autumn daily cycles of low nighttime temperatures and warmer daytime temperatures, some areas on the main campus will experience temperature fluctuations due to cooling becoming unavailable and heating becoming\u00a0available.
