{"id":40711,"date":"2016-08-30T10:23:43","date_gmt":"2016-08-30T14:23:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=40711"},"modified":"2016-08-30T11:24:20","modified_gmt":"2016-08-30T15:24:20","slug":"goodman-school-of-business-partners-with-business-school-in-south-korea-on-exchange-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2016\/08\/goodman-school-of-business-partners-with-business-school-in-south-korea-on-exchange-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Goodman School of Business partners with business school in South Korea on exchange program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock&#8217;s Goodman School of Business has become the first Canadian business school to partner with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.solbridge.ac.kr\/story\/main\/index.jsp\" target=\"_blank\">SolBridge International School of Business<\/a> in South Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to a formalized partnership with the business school, two undergraduate Goodman students per year can attend SolBridge on a semester-long exchange starting in September\u00a02017.<\/p>\n<p>A modern and innovative business school located just over an hour from Seoul in Deojeon, classes at SolBridge are all taught in English and focus on integrating both theory and practice.<\/p>\n<p>Like Goodman, SolBridge holds accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB) and has a strong international outlook, making it an attractive place for Goodman students to choose as an exchange destination.<\/p>\n<p>The School is also the 2016 winner of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aacsb.edu\/about\/awards\/innovations-that-inspire\/recipients\/solbridge-international-school-of-business\" target=\"_blank\">AACSB\u2019s Innovations That Inspire<\/a> award for its mentorship plan and programming around using debate to build students\u2019 leadership skills and engagement.<\/p>\n<p>This is the latest in a collection of 42 other business schools that the Goodman School of Business partners with, which allows accounting and business students to add international opportunities to their educational experience.<\/p>\n<p>Students participating in exchange programs benefit from a world of knowledge, says Barry Wright, Goodman&#8217;s Interim Dean.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Adding an international exchange to students&#8217; portfolios will help them move outside of their comfort zones and this extension of their classroom experience is so important in today&#8217;s business world,&#8221; says Wright.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our students are increasingly recognizing international exchanges are a great way to differentiate themselves in the job market.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Goodman students interested in going on exchange can <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/business\/international\/exchange-programs\/brock-students\/application-process\" target=\"_blank\">apply online<\/a> for Fall 2017 by Feb. 1, 2017 or for Winter 2018 by June 30, 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brock&#8217;s Goodman School of Business has become the first Canadian business school to partner with SolBridge International School of Business in South Korea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":40712,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[39,3319,4052,1],"tags":[4434,3592,594,4433],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/40711"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/22"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=40711"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/40711\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":40714,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/40711\/revisions\/40714"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/40712"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=40711"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=40711"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=40711"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
