{"id":40116,"date":"2016-07-11T09:42:38","date_gmt":"2016-07-11T13:42:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=40116"},"modified":"2016-07-11T14:46:04","modified_gmt":"2016-07-11T18:46:04","slug":"the-intersection-of-international-achievement-testing-and-educational-policy-development-the-subject-of-recent-book","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2016\/07\/the-intersection-of-international-achievement-testing-and-educational-policy-development-the-subject-of-recent-book\/","title":{"rendered":"The intersection of international achievement testing and educational policy development the subject of recent book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Professor Louis Volante recently published a book with Routledge Press entitled \u201c<em>The Intersection of International Achievement Testing and Educational Policy: Global Perspectives on Large-Scale Reform.<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This edited volume discusses the policy implications of international achievement testing measures, particularly those administered by the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) and the IEA (International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement).<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Contributors included Professors Eva Baker (inaugural president of WERA and past president of AERA), Don Klinger (current president of CSSE), as well as a number of international scholars from England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and New Zealand.
