{"id":39893,"date":"2016-06-28T12:05:47","date_gmt":"2016-06-28T16:05:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=39893"},"modified":"2016-06-28T12:05:47","modified_gmt":"2016-06-28T16:05:47","slug":"cukier-part-of-plan-to-ramp-up-canadas-digital-innovation-skills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2016\/06\/cukier-part-of-plan-to-ramp-up-canadas-digital-innovation-skills\/","title":{"rendered":"Cukier part of plan to ramp up Canada\u2019s digital innovation skills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock University\u2019s president-designate, Wendy Cukier, has been named to head up a Diversity and Inclusion task force as part of a national initiative to develop leaders of a skilled workforce in the global digital economy.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_39894\" style=\"width: 162px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-39894\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-39894\" src=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Wendy-Cukier-copy-e1467128952157.jpg\" alt=\"Wendy Cukier\" width=\"152\" height=\"220\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-39894\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Wendy Cukier<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The announcement came from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ictc-ctic.ca\/\">Information and Communications Technology Council<\/a> (ICTC), which is partnering with Microsoft to launch Canada\u2019s first digital talent strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Cukier, who will become Brock\u2019s President and Vice-Chancellor on Sept. 1, will chair one of three teams that will seek to drive innovation and digital talent development on a national scale.
