{"id":39180,"date":"2016-05-26T12:05:12","date_gmt":"2016-05-26T16:05:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=39180"},"modified":"2016-05-26T16:15:51","modified_gmt":"2016-05-26T20:15:51","slug":"annual-main-campus-switch-from-heating-to-cooling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2016\/05\/annual-main-campus-switch-from-heating-to-cooling\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual main campus switch from heating to cooling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Facilities Management is\u00a0busy preparing the main campus cooling systems at the central chilling plant for summer operation. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Due to the type of heating and cooling system that is used at Brock University, many buildings on the Main Campus are not capable of heating and cooling during the same cycle. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With the arrival of unseasonably warm temperatures and lower outside temperatures at night, building heating at this time of year still remains a priority. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As typical springtime daily cycles of low nighttime temperatures and higher daytime temperatures continue, some areas on the main campus will experience higher than normal temperatures during regular office hours. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Facilities Management staff will continue to make the main campus as comfortable as possible by bringing in cool fresh air to the areas that are normally cooled by the central chilling plant unit until nighttime heating is no longer required.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If your area experiences cooling issues please refrain from operating any heat producing equipment which is not necessary and shut off any lighting that is not required.
