Short presentations (approximately 15 minutes) from faculty, staff, students or community partners doing exciting things in experiential education will open the sessions, followed by questions and open discussion.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">These sessions are also casual \u2013 all are welcome to join in and to bring their lunch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Here are the sessions scheduled for the upcoming weeks:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Monday, March 14 at 11:30\u00a0a.m.:\u00a0 \u201cSkills, experience, or credentials&#8230;what are employers looking for today?\u201d hosted by Kate Cassidy (Youth University)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Thursday, March 17 at noon:\u00a0 \u201cThrough Their Eyes:\u00a0Connecting our minds, hearts and hands through service learning\u201d hosted by Paula Gardner (Health Sciences)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Tuesday, March 22 at 11:30 a.m.:\u00a0 \u201cStudent Perspectives on Alternative Reading Week Trips\u201d hosted by Kristen Smith (Student Life) and students from the February 2016 trips<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Wednesday, March 23 at\u00a0noon:\u00a0 \u201cCommunity Professional Service: \u00a0A Commission Model\u201d hosted by Debra McLauchlan (Teacher Education)<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">All sessions will take place in TH135, CPI\u2019s new active learning classroom in the basement of the Schmon Tower near Career Services. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">If you have a topic you would like to contribute to these discussions, contact\u00a0Sandy Howe at <a href=\"mailto:showe@brocku.ca\"><span class=\"s5\">showe@brocku.ca<\/span><\/a> or call\u00a0905-688-5550 ext. 4126.\u00a0 If you would like to bring students or community partners with you to share their experiences related to your topic, their voice would be a wonderful addition to these conversations.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With plenty of great things happening in experiential learning at Brock, \u201cExperiential Lunch Conversations\u201d are continuing this semester.<br \/>\nThis is a way of engaging as a campus in meaningful conversation about teaching and learning, as well as how we might provide opportunities for our students to apply their learning in high-impact ways.
