Around 4,000 potential students and their families will visit Brock University Sunday, March 6 for Open House, one of the most important days on Brock\u2019s recruiting calendar.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thousands of admission offers have been sent out by post-secondary institutions across the province, and Ontario secondary school students have until June 1 to accept.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a critical event for us and is often the \u2018deal maker\u2019 as many students have received their offer of admission and want to make a final decision,\u201d says Beth Natale, Director, Recruitment for Brock University. \u201cWe are rolling out the red carpet for our applicants and their families so they know exactly all that Brock has to offer.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe entire Brock community participates in this event. From the moment guests step foot on our campus, they feel very much a part of our community and that speaks volumes \u2013 not every school can do that, and it is a strength at Brock.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the June 1 deadline for secondary school students to make their final decision on which school to attend, other students have until the summer to apply and are considered for admission on an ongoing basis. For transfer students, admissions staff will be on-site Sunday and can help get them admitted immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other events taking place Sunday include information sessions and presentations, an information fair for all student services, activities and academic programs, and tours of residences, labs, athletic facilities, the Marilyn I Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts and other sites.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many of the tours and sessions will be led by current students, says Natale.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cStudents need to hear from other students what their experience will really be about.\u00a0That personal touch is something we do very well at Brock, and it\u2019s indicative of what their student experience will be like.\u00a0We know our students and relationships matter,\u201d she says.<\/span><\/p>\n

When: Sunday, March 6 \u2013 Noon to 4 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n
