{"id":37910,"date":"2016-03-03T15:02:29","date_gmt":"2016-03-03T19:02:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=37910"},"modified":"2016-03-03T15:05:57","modified_gmt":"2016-03-03T19:05:57","slug":"brock-opens-its-doors-for-open-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2016\/03\/brock-opens-its-doors-for-open-house\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock opens its doors for Open House"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Around 4,000 potential students and their families will visit Brock University Sunday, March 6 for Open House, one of the most important days on Brock\u2019s recruiting calendar.<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Thousands of admission offers have been sent out by post-secondary institutions across the province, and Ontario secondary school students have until June 1 to accept.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u201cThis is a critical event for us and is often the \u2018deal maker\u2019 as many students have received their offer of admission and want to make a final decision,\u201d says Beth Natale, Director, Recruitment for Brock University. \u201cWe are rolling out the red carpet for our applicants and their families so they know exactly all that Brock has to offer.\u201d<span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe entire Brock community participates in this event. From the moment guests step foot on our campus, they feel very much a part of our community and that speaks volumes \u2013 not every school can do that, and it is a strength at Brock.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">In addition to the June 1 deadline for secondary school students to make their final decision on which school to attend, other students have until the summer to apply and are considered for admission on an ongoing basis.
