If you can\u2019t make it for a tour of Brock University, technology will give you an in-depth look at the campus.<\/p>\n
The University\u2019s virtual tour is now live on the Discover Brock website<\/a> and hundreds of students have already taken a look around.<\/p>\n The majority of students who\u2019ve taken the virtual tour are from Canada with 149, just eight more visitors than from the United States at 141.<\/p>\n There have been multiple visitors from Trinidad, the United Kingdom, Israel, United Arad Emirates, Peru and Mexico.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we get students on our campus, we have a much better chance of getting them to apply,\u201d said Joseph Gottli, multimedia web specialist in Recruitment and Liaison Services.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you are trying to choose a university, unless you can picture yourself there, you don\u2019t really consider it.\u201d<\/p>\n In the month since the virtual tour went live online, Gottli said 22 people have contacted Brock.<\/p>\n It\u2019s those connections with prospective students that make showcasing Brock a priority.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are aspects of the campus you can\u2019t see anywhere else,\u201d Gottli said.<\/p>\n All of Brock\u2019s buildings, including some residences are part of the virtual tour, as well as the Bruce Trail and Jubilee Court.<\/p>\n \u201cThey can have a 360-degree look at all of the areas we showcase on our actual tours,\u201d Gottli said.<\/p>\n As well, he said the tour is responsive and can be viewed on all devices, including phones.\u00a0It can be viewed on virtual reality headsets such as the Oculus Rift or Google Cardboard.<\/span><\/p>\n The tour can be accessed on the Discover Brock website<\/a> and the International Recruitment website<\/a>\u00a0on almost every page.<\/p>\n
