Hype Night was a huge success earlier this month with over 800 people packed into the gym celebrating school spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0goal\u00a0of\u00a0Hype Night – a pep rally held Oct. 6 – was\u00a0to create an amazing atmosphere and enhance school spirit. Organizers say they accomplished that mission and there’s video to prove it.<\/span><\/p>\n

“After months of planning this event\u00a0we were able to start a movement within the University that students are proud to be apart of. #WEAREREADY is here to stay and it will\u00a0only\u00a0get bigger,” said\u00a0fourth-year student Mohamed Hassan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bawe Nsame, a fourth-year student who came up with the #WEAREREADY campaign, said the event more than doubled the attendance of last year’s pep rally.<\/p>\n

“We are trying to build a culture in the University\u00a0and by doing events like this, we see\u00a0students are willing to\u00a0invest\u00a0their time, energy, and pure passion\u00a0into this culture,” he said. “We are here for four years, let’s make the best of it! We Are Ready.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Next up for the #WEAREREADY campaign is the basketball home\u00a0opener on Nov. 27.<\/p>\n
