Brock University graduate Gino Montani and his brother Jesse are the new Amazing Race Canada victors\u00a0and winners of the biggest monetary prize awarded on a Canadian reality show.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re champs man,\u201d Gino said as he hugged Jesse at the finish line on Wednesday\u2019s season three finale.<\/p>\n
The pair won $250,000 as the grand prize along with gas for life from Petro-Canada. They each also won four trips during the race and matching Chevy Colorado pickup trucks.<\/p>\n
Gino, who graduated from Brock with his human geography degree in 2008, and Jesse made the rounds on morning talk shows Thursday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe tried so hard on everything, we really did,\u201d Jesse said while the pair were on the Marilyn Denis Show.<\/p>\n
Gino said throughout the 48,000 kilometre race \u2013 across three continents, four countries, six provinces and 16 cities \u2013 he strived to be a good big brother.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing the older brother, I always want to be a good role model,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The brothers, who live in Hamilton, plan to party now that they can share their good news with family and friends. The finale episode was taped in May.<\/p>\n
