{"id":35074,"date":"2015-09-10T15:48:01","date_gmt":"2015-09-10T19:48:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=35074"},"modified":"2015-09-10T15:48:01","modified_gmt":"2015-09-10T19:48:01","slug":"merrittville-bridge-closure-delayed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2015\/09\/merrittville-bridge-closure-delayed\/","title":{"rendered":"Merrittville bridge closure delayed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Staff and students commuting to Brock University via Merrittville Hwy. will have a few extra days to figure out their new driving route.<\/p>\n<p>Merrittville Hwy. between Decew Rd. and Beaverdams Rd. had been scheduled to close Sept. 14 so that work could begin on replacing the Power Canal Bridge.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Niagara Region said Thursday that because the project to replace a bridge on Beaverdams Rd. is still wrapping up, the Merrittville Hwy. closure will be delayed by three days to Thursday, Sept. 17.<\/p>\n<p>Merrittville Hwy. will be closed until August, 2016 for the work to be done.
