From July 6 to Sept. 14, 2015, Brock University will conduct a larviciding program under the authority of the Region’s Medical Officer of Health.<\/p>\n

The larviciding will happen to control larval mosquitoes to prevent their development into vectors of West Nile virus.<\/p>\n

The larvicide (Mosquiron 0.12CRD – ingot formulation, PCP No. 31079), under the federal Pest Control Products Act, will be applied by direct hand application into catch basins at Brock University-owned and leased properties within Niagara.<\/p>\n

All larvicides will be applied by Ministry of the Environment-licensed applicators.<\/p>\n
