To see her walking the Survivors lap, that&#8217;s when I really felt that my participation was making a difference,&#8221; the second-year concurrent education student said.<\/p>\n<p>Salt first participated in the 12-hour relay five years ago. One of the most poignant moments of the event is the lighting of the luminaries to honour those affected by cancer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The paper lanterns with short messages, which adorn the relay course, are also a sentimental reminder of the stories that are being shared among the community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 2015 edition of the Relay for Life happens at Sir Isaac Brock Circle from noon to midnight on June 20. Student Life &amp; Community Experience, which is organizing the event, is seeking volunteers and participants for the event.<\/p>\n<p>Registration is $25 for participants, with a minimum $150 raised.
