April marks another exciting month at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts. With a wide array of shows for all artistic tastes, there is a choice of entertainment for any fan of the arts.<\/p>\n
The Department of Dramatic Arts is featuring several plays including The Dumb Waiter. The play tells the story of two cooped up assassins, one dumb waiter and madness throughout. The Walker Cultural Leader Series <\/a>will continue with a visit from acclaimed Canadian painter Janet Werner. Werner will pick several student works for the upcoming From Likeness to Fiction exhibition.<\/p>\n There will also be the two-part student exhibition, A Temporary Stay, that showcases the work of graduating visual arts students.<\/p>\n
\nThe Department of Music also has several productions in the upcoming weeks. Later in the month the Viva Voce! choral series<\/a> will continue with the Avanti Chamber Singers performing Folk Song Sweets. With conductor Harris Loewen in charge, the production promises not to disappoint.<\/p>\n
